commercial meat processing equipment suppliers

Meat Processing Equipment Sourcing coordinates factory quotations from commercial meat processing equipment suppliers and meat processing equipment manufacturers on one written grinding duty. We align hopper loading, plate-and-knife sets, included extras and destination so replies can be compared. We are not a factory and not a brand-appointed reseller; manufacturing claims stay with the named supplier.

Ask every quotation to restate fresh or frozen feed, inlet temperature, plate opening (mm), knife arrangement, and which cleaning access is included. Hopper volume (L) should stay on a separate line from kg/h. Installation, shipping, training, commissioning and spare plates are often extra; leaving them unnamed hides total procurement cost.

Public COMBIgrind notes (JBT Marel, accessed 2026-09-17) mention additional hopper, access and cutting options. Treat those as questions for the supplier, not as items this service already verified. A hygiene sentence on a brochure does not replace a cleaning demonstration on the quoted configuration.

Service stage and responsibilities

Delivery scope

Delivery scope: Sample run

Require a timed grind on the buyer’s species and inlet temperature. Record plate opening, knife count, loading method, particle size after the plate, and temperature rise. If bone separation is requested, state how separated material and product losses will be measured. A factory that quotes only hopper litres has not answered the sample-run question.

Site readiness

Ask which product-contact parts unbolt, how operators lift heavy plates, and what floor space is needed to store spare sets. Confirm three-phase supply, connected load, compressed air demand, cooling water, footprint and PLC interface before treating the machine as installable. Upstream lug dumpers and downstream conveyors belong on the quote only if the factory supplies them.

Owner acceptance

Name who signs FAT and SAT for the contracted grinder only. Training, spare knife-and-plate sets, and commissioning hours should appear as included or excluded. This coordinator does not sign plant acceptance. Certificates, if offered, are documents to request from the supplier; they are not this site’s credentials and do not automatically cover an integrated line.
